This is weekly recap of Scribesism I have posted to the fb page and other social media.
You know what I think when I see other writers. My tribe. Oh my Gosh they are crazy, and some you don’t want to admit you know since they are way nuttier than you and that’s saying something and I love each and every one of them. Yes even you and you. Maybe you. Definitely you. Heck I love you. Here is to that big ole writer tribe.
Imposter syndrome seeps in without you knowing it. I’m not good enough. I’m a fraud. All this fills you and crushes your creativity. Make a visual representation that will combat this. Create an Author Boss Wall of Success. First item last page of the first book you ever wrote. How can you be an imposter you wrote a book? Own it and claim it. You wrote a book.
Perfection is a myth. When you keep trying to be perfect you’ll never finish. Stop looking for perfection and accept it doesn’t exist except maybe in the fiction you create. Strive instead for doing your best.
When I’m writing the words are like a rhythm of a song and I go along with the beat.
There are no limits to the success you can achieve. Strive for it and get your definition of success.
Writing is fun, enjoy the story you are writing.
Relax and enjoy a day off to rejuvenate your mind. Taking time for self-care is important.
